Brighter Living Partnership would like to announce that their popular Fruit and Vegetable co-operative running from Parenting 2000 every Thursday will be moving to the Southport Centre for Health and Well-being on the 4th February. The times will remain the same 11.00am – 2.00pm. It is hoped that by moving the scheme to a more central location more people will be able to access the scheme and follows the successful move of its Ainsdale co-op to their Centre for Health and Well-being on Sandbrook Road at the beginning of last year. The scheme will continue to provide large bags of fruit, vegetables, salad or a mix of fruit and vegetables for £2.50, in addition to local free-range eggs at just £1.20 for six. The scheme hopes to encourage people to eat more fruit and vegetables by providing it at a more reasonable price than traditional retailers and also giving people the chance to try something they may not usually put in their shopping basket. The move will not affect the schemes other two outlets, the first at Crossens Community Association, Rufford Road every Wednesday 12.00-3.30pm and the second at the Ainsdale Centre for Health and Well-being, Sandbrook Road every Friday 12.00-3.30pm The scheme is open to everyone, customers simply order and pay for their bags one week and come and collect them the next. Deliveries to homes and workplaces are also available for an additional 25p per bag or £1 for four or more bags. The scheme also accepts Healthy Start vouchers. Brighter Living look forward to seeing customers both old and new at the new venue on the 4th February. If in the meantime you require any further information or wish to place an order then please call Sarah on 01704 501024 x 243
