Greater Merseyside Mentor of the Year Award 2010 This year, Volunteer Centre Sefton and the Greater Merseyside Mentoring & Befriending Network are running the Greater Merseyside Mentor of the Year Award. Aims of the Award - To reward volunteers. - To raise the profile of Mentoring & Befriending in Greater Merseyside - To celebrate the diversity in Mentoring & Befriending opportunities within Greater Merseyside Who is Eligible to Enter? - Anyone who volunteers as a Mentor or Befriender and lives and/or volunteers in Greater Merseyside - Nominees must have volunteered within the nominating organisation for at least 3 months. Award Categories 1. Greater Merseyside Young Mentor of the Year (16-25 years old). 2. Greater Merseyside Young Befriender of the Year (16-25 years old). 3. Greater Merseyside Mentor of the Year (26+ years old). 4. Greater Merseyside Befriender of the Year (26+ years old). Individuals should be nominated for the positive difference they have made in their role as a mentor or Befriender. Individuals could also be nominated for their contribution to the support or development of a mentoring or befriending programme.
