Vistors to Litherland Town Hall Health Centre can now access health advice and information through a new touch screen ‘info point’. This is the first time NHS Sefton has used this sort of facility and Litherland was chosen to pilot the technology because of the range of services offered and the high numbers of people who use the centre. As well as providing centre users with information about local and national health services, people will also be able to use the info point to provide NHS Sefton with their views of the services it provides. The info point screen is on a blue stand and it will be situated in the reception area at the centre’s Hatton Hill Road entrance. Katie Rowley, 19, from Litherland, said: “It’s a good idea. It is something you might browse while you wait and is a good way to find out about what there is in your area.” Above: Litherland Town Hall Health Centre
David Hammond, NHS Sefton’s Engagement Officer, said: “The info point is being provided for a free trial period of six months and during this time we will assess its effectiveness and decide whether it is something we would continue to use in future.” “We hope centre users will use the info point, whether to get information or to tell us what they think. We can then use the feedback we receive to work on improving our services.” If you have any questions about the info point, please get in touch with David Hammond on 0151 247 7046 or email
