NHS Sefton is carrying out a needs assessment of community pharmacy services and would you to take part. The needs assessment involves: - mapping the current level of pharmacy provision
- speaking to local pharmacists and service users to find out their views on the pharmacy service.
All this information will be used to produce a draft Pharmacy Needs Assessment (PNA) for Sefton.
To share your views please take part in our online survey. You can ask for a paper copy of the survey by calling NHS Sefton's Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0800 218 2333. The survey will run from 9 July - 2 August 2010.
What will happen with the results? A formal consultation will take place from September 1st – October 31st when service providers, partners and the public will be asked if they agree with the PNA. They will have the opportunity to make further suggestions that will be considered in the final PNA. This willl enable NHS Sefton to work out how pharmacy services could be developed in the future. The Department of Health requires all primary care trusts to complete a PNA by February 2011. To find out more please contact NHS Sefton's PALS on 0800 218 2333.
